Cybersecurity education should cover everyone, even children in the first grade, experts say

The experts gathered at the forum did not have much disagreement on the need for ubiquitous IT education. However, they now believe that not only computer workers in different organizations need to be trained, although the weakest link in the organization remains the individual employee: virtual security education should cover everyone, including children in first grade. Knowledge and awareness are important to know where and how threats come from. It is also important to understand the motivation of the hackers who attack us, the experts commented.

 

The proposal quickly entered the discussion on the conference stage. The general understanding is that specialized master’s programs in the field of virtual security are extremely insufficient because they cover a very small number of people with a strong interest in the problem. The national education programs for children from an early age are much more important, the discussants commented.
